Accessibility statement
For the Controlled Drug Reporting (CDR) website — cdreporting.co.uk
This accessibility statement applies to the Controlled Drug Reporting (CDR) website at www.cdreporting.co.uk, which is operated on behalf of NHS England by the Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer team.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- some report submission forms contain dynamic content and lookups that may not be fully announced by older screen readers
- some older PDF and Word documents linked from the site are not fully accessible to screen reader software
- some embedded video tutorials in the resources area do not have captions or transcripts
- some interactive dashboards and tables may be difficult to use with keyboard-only navigation

Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed above.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
- Forms and dynamic content — some labels and error messages may not be reliably announced by all assistive technologies. We are working to update these.
- Older documents — some PDF, Word and Excel documents hosted on the site may not meet accessibility standards. These will be replaced or remediated where they remain essential.
- Video content — some training videos do not yet have captions or transcripts.
We aim to address the issues above as part of a continuous improvement programme.
How we tested this website
This website is regularly reviewed by the development team using a combination of automated tools and manual checks against the WCAG 2.1 AA standard.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
